To the fourth Interrogatory he answereth that he this Rendent
was (as doth evidently appeare by his foregoeing deposition)
here in London when the said Linnens were bought
and therfore cannot answeare wjp bought, or of
whome were bought the Linnens interrate but he saith he
is upon good reasons convinced in his conscience that the
sayd Linnens were bought for the accompt of the said
Bartholomew Lopez de Apastris, with the proceed of the
wools interrate, and that the said nine bales of Linnen
were readlly laden aboard the sauyd shipp for his account
and not for the account of any french man of subiect
of the ffrench king And otherwise he knoweth not to
answeare./
To the fifth Interrogatory he answereth that he referreth himselfe
to his foregoeing deposition, And otherwise or further being
here in London when the businesses interrate were done, and
transacted beyond the seas, he cannot answeare/
To the sixth Interrogatory he answereth that he was not present
when the bills of Lading interrate or any one of them were
signe, And further referring himselfe to his deposition
made to the eighth article of the allegation he cannot
answeare./
To the seaventh Interrogatory he answereth that he being by the
aforenamed Melchior Arang[?uren] still made privy unto
and advised with concerning the said woolls, and with the
buying and lading of the nine bales of Linnens (being
the proceed of the said woolls) for the account of the
sayd Lopez de Apastris on board the said shipp the
hare in the ffeild and not finding nor perceiving anything
in the whole busines to seeme fictitious or colourable
that he beleiveth in his conscience that the bill of Lading
which he saw for the said Linnens (and which as he
heareth is [?gone]) annexed unto a Commmission decreed in this
cause into Roane or haverdegrace in ffrance) was a true
and reall bill of Lading, And further he knoweth
not to answeare./
To the eight Interrogatory he answereth that he knoweth not the
said Peter Grout, and that for the reasons predeposed he
beleiveth that the said Grout hath noe part or share in the Linnens
interrate, And further he knoweth not to answere./
To the ninth Interrogatory he answereth that as to the advise and [?XXX] sent
unto the interrate Lopez de Apastris or his Agents at Cadiz
by the said Bertramd e Baud and Mathew de La ffitt
it concerneth not him to answeare, he having not deposed to
any such matter, But he saith that the said [?Aranguren]
did communicate unto this Rendent the advise and accompt by
him this REndent predeposed of, which he the said [?Aranguren]
had received from the said de Baud and de La ffitt, and
that the said advise and accompt were both shewne
unto
