To the first hee saith the said Richard hath tould this deponent that
hee was of the West of England and saith hee is a batchelour, and
otherwise hee cannot depose saving as aforesaid.
To the second hee cannot depose.
To the third hee saith that hee this deponent was borne
at Stratford bowe in Middlesex, and hath lived to and againe in
Spaine in Cadiz and Sevill in Spaine theise tenn yeares last, And
otherwise hee answereth negatively, saving as aforesaid.

aged 70 yeares or thereabouts sworne and
examined.
To the said allegation made on the behalfe of the said ffishermen of
Milton and places adiacent hee saith and deposeth that hee well
knoweth the places allegate called East Swale and hartie-shoare
and hath soe donne for theise fiftie yeares last past and saith they are within
the ebbing and flowimng of the sea, and are an arme of the sea, and
places where shipps of three hundred tonnes may at conveniencie of tide saile and passe in and
out, and saith the same is a part of the sea and soe commonly accompted
and ought to be common to all ffishermen to fish and dredge in for
oisters and other fish, and saith that for theise fiftie yeares last past
the fishermen of Strowd, Milton, hastowe and Gillingham have used to
fish there for herrings, spratts, whiting, flounders and other fish, which hee knoweth
being borne in Strowde and having lived there and in Rochester all his
time, and hath bin a fisherman and boy for theise fiftie yeares last past
and used to fish in the said place or places for the said time. And for
