Transcription

To the second Interrogatory he answereth that he hath
knowne the interrate Melchior de Aranguren for about
fower yeares last past residing here in London as a Merchant
and that he is a Spaniard by birth, and that he hath
noe further knowledge of the interrate Bertram de Baud
and Melchior de La ffitt then what meerly came
by the sayd de Aranguren his communication their
Letters sent unto him unto him this Rendent, And that
it hath appeared by such Letters that they have lived
for about three yeares last past at Roane in
ffrance, but he lnoweth not where they were borne And
further he cannot answeare.

To the third and fourth Interrogatorie he answereth that
he this Rendent being here in England when the
Linnens interrate were bought and laden aboard
the interrate shipp the hare in the feild, cannot
answeare unto, who bought them, or of whom, or how
they were bought, And otherwise referring himselfe
to his former deposition he cannot answeare.

To the fifth Interrogatory he answereth by vertue of his
oath and beleiveth in his conscience that the bill of
Lading concerning the Linnens interrate, which the
said Aranguren did shew this Rendent (as is
predeposed) was not fictitious nor colourable And
otherwise then referring himselfe to his former deposition
he cannot answeare./

To the sixth Interrogatory [BLANK IN MANUSCRIPT]

To the seaventh Interrogatory he answereth that the advice
and Invoyce by him the deponent predeposed of were
in wryting sent by and in the name of the sayd de Baud
and De La ffitt unto the interrate Melchior Aranguren,
here at London, That he was not present at the
wryting therof, But he saith and answereth by vertue of
his oath that the sayd Letter of advise and Invoyce
were communicated and shewne unto this Rendent many
days before the newes came the shipp interrate was
seized, and that the said advise and Invoyce
were of the very handwryting that all the former
Letters were of that came from the sayd de Baud
and De La ffitt, And further he cannot answeare.
