A voyage was agreed to Jameca (i.e. Jamaica) and other ports and places beyond the saeas and then to Barbados and back to London. About 30 mariners were to go and serve on the ship. Phillipp Gorrell was appointed to goe as masters ?mate in the ship. Biographical synthesis

Simon Messenger (alt. Symon, Messinger) (b. ca. 1618; d.?>1666). Cooper.

Resident in Shadwell in Middlesex in 1658. Still resident in Shadwell at the time of the 1666 Hearth Tax returns, when "Simon Messenger" was recorded living in Shadwell with a property of four hearths.[1]

Evidence from High Court of Admiralty

Forty year old Simon Messenger deposed on November 8th 1658 in the High Court of Admiralty. He was examined on an allegation on behalfe of Watson and Howe in the case of "Warren agains Watson and How".[2]
