Ad 3:um arlum dicti allonis deponit that hee was a fourth part
owner of a ship called then the Cumberland of London whereof
Peter Knight was Master And saith that the said Knight went with the
said shipp upon this deponents and the rest of his then owners account upon a trading
voyage from this port of London to Rochel from thence to Dublin
in Ireland from thence back to Rochel and Bourdeaux. And when she
came to Bourdeaux he saith the aclate Peter Knight sold to
the aclate Samuell Beake XXXX the said shipp then lying in the port of Bourdeaux
for y:e summe of foure thousand livers
which he knoweth by being part owner, namely of a fourth part
and by his factor Gabriell ?Reaw merchant in Bourdeaux
having received the said summe of 1000 livers for his share
or fourth part. And this deponent and the rest of the owners ?approved
of such sale made by the said Master And for the reasons aforesd this depot
beleeveth the said Mr Beake to bee only proprietor of and XX
the properly to reste only in him. And for such hee was and is commonly
accounted.

Ad primum rendet et deponit that hee was one of the Company namely Masters
Mate of the shipp the Welfare XXXX Samuel Ra?tell Master the voyage in
question which voyage she began on or about the twentieth of
December last past from Plymouth to Leghorne, from thence to
Gallipoli, to lade oyles thence to London, whenre the XXX
shipp arrived and came to an anchor about five weekes of XXXXX
Shadwell dock or staire where she delivered her XXX
of oyles. Et alre nescit.

Ad 2. rendit that the lading outwards bound from Plymouth consisted of
XXXXX of betweene five or six hundred hogsheads or thereabouts XXX XXXX
of XXXX Gold and Company as hee supposeth and were carried in the said shipp XXX
at Leghorne for XXXX as hee beleeveth. Et alr nescit.
