1. side and had some goods in her before they came aboard, which being
2. laden, the master sent the same away, and paid the watermen and
3. they went ashore and the next day hee hired them againe, and that
4. night the said Captaine went alsoe ashore. And saith that all
5. the while tehy were at worke, most of the principall men
6. looked on and walked up and downe, and refused and did not
7. worke. And otherwise hee cannot depose.
8. To the 8th and 9th hee cannot depose, saving this deponent
9. had 5s for his two dayes worke.

12. To the first hee cometh required by the master, and expecteth
13. his charges and dayes worke, And otherwise negatively.

William Pullein of Saint Andrews holborn in
the County of Middlesex Gentleman aged about 24
yeares a wittnes produced and sworne and being
examined deposeth as followeth.
27. To the first, second, third, fourth an fifth articles he cannot
28. depose.
29. To the sixth article of the sayd allegation he deposeth and
30. saith that he the deponent was a passenger in the arlate
31. shipp the Edward and John from the Barbados to this
32. Port of London, and he saith that about 5 or 6 dayes ˹nights˺ after
33. the sayd shipps setting sayle from the Barbadoe's to this port
34. of London he the deponent did heare the Carpenter (as
35. he beleiveth) of the sayd shipp cry out that they were all
36. (meaning the sayd Shipps Company) were all dead men
37. for that the water came in at the Port, And further
38. to the sayd article he cannot depose
39. To the rest of the articles he cannot depose.

42. To the first Interrogatoy he answereth that he commeth to testify
43. in this cause being served with a Compulsory under the
44. seale of this Court, procured (as he beleiveth) by the
45. meanes of the producent John Totty) who gave him
46. this Rendent xijd And to the rest negatively.
47. To the second, third, fowrth fifth and sixth Interrogatoreyes
48. he knoweth not to answeare./
