12. Interrogatorie he cannot answer saving his foregoing deposition and saving
13. he saith the winde was at about north north west and north by west
14. the tyme interrogate and saving he saith the shipp Exchange XX
15. struck off her Ruther in about seaventeene foote water the sea
16. then running high and she bearing too much sayle which caused
17. her to strike deepe.

18. To the 5th he saith saving his forgoeing deposition he cannot
19. answere to this interrogatorie otherwise than negatively well knowing
20. that the sayd Wilkinson did noe way hinder the sayd Warren from
21. taking care of the sayd shipp nor any way caused or persuaded
22. the mariner to disobey the sayd Warrens directions, but only
23. told the sayd Warren wherein he conceived him to be in an
24. error and advise him for the best, but left the sayd Warren at
25. his liberty to doe what he pleased touching the piloting the sayd
26. shipp, as also did this deponent and other seamen passengers in the
27. sayd shipp, and saving he saith he is verily persuaded in this
28. conscience and believeth the sayd Warren did not doe his utmost
29. endeavour to carrie the sayd shipp safe to the downds as hee
30. might have done, (and that at other tymes done ˹to˺ many other,) And
31. hee knoweth there was a competent number of men of the sayd
32. shipps company on board, to have sayled the sayd shipp and
33. that the sayd Wilkinson did noe way hinder them from being TO DO: obedient
34. to the command of the sayd Warren.

Examined upon the foresaid allegation on the
behalf of the said Brandling.

Robert Truelove of Ipswich Ironmonger, aged
50 years or thereabouts sworne and examined.

46. To the fifth article hee saith and deposeth that he well
47. knoweth the arlate William Weaser and hath be somme for theTO DO: XX
48. tenn years last or thereabouts, in which pace (and while hee the
49. said William was master of the Primrose hayn) arles hee this deponent
50. hath received many parcells of goods which hee brought from
51. London to Ipswich in his said way, betwixt which ˹places˺ hee was
52. used to carry goods and merchandizes in his said vessell; and
53. saith the said Marsh that from time to time made true
54. and mist deliverie of the said goods ˹to this deponent˺ ammounting in all to the
55. value of five hundred pounds sterling and upwards, and having
56. for the account of severall parsells,, of this citie and this TO DO: deponents
57. who had much dealing that was with the said Marsh, TO DO: neere for
