1. To the 7th hee saith hee referreth him selfe to the lawe in that behalfe and
2. further he cannot depose/

3. To the 8th hee cannot depose/

4. To the 9th hee saith hee referred him selfe to the Registry of this Court and
5. further cannot depose/

6. To the 10th hee cannot depose not knowing the persons arlate now where they lived

7. To the 11th hee saith hee referreth him selfe to this forgoing deposition and
8. to the law And further cannot depose./

9. To the 12th hee saith his foregoeing deposition is true./

To the Interrogatories [CENTRE HEADING]

12. To the first Interrogatorie hee saith hee cameth to testifie the truth of
13. his knowledge in this cause being required soo to doe by the producent
14. Complaine and saith hee being paid by the sayd Complaine longe sinse for
15. the goods predeposed of bought of this deponent, it will bee neither profitt nor
16. preiudice to this rendent whether Complaine prevaile or be over throwne
17. in this cause And to the rest of the interrogatorie hee answereth negatively/

18. To the second hee saith hee knoweth not the Interrogate Brandling nor
19. ever sawe him that hee knoweth of And further cannot answere/

20. To the 3 hee cannot answere otherwise then before hee hath deposed./

21. To the 4th hee cannot answere knowing nothing nor having heard anything

Exámined upon the fore said allegation libell

Robert Hill of Wapping Butcher aged 28 years
or thereabouts sworne and exámined.

34. To the first, second, third and fourth árticles of the said libell and
35. the schedule annexed hee saith and deposeth that the three parcells
36. of beefe schedulated and first mentioned in the said schedule videlicet
37. 200 pounds weight at 23 shillings per hundred delivered 4 July 1653. 400
38. pounds weight and a quarter at 23 shillings per hundred delivered Aug: 5.
39. of this same yeare, and 500 weight at 23 shillings per hundred delivered September
40. 20th of the same yeare, were by him this deponent then servant of
41. the producent Richard hammond delivered in the shopp of the said
42. Richard in Wapping to the arlate Gregory Carey then master of the
43. said shipp the Sisters to ˹XXXXXXXXXXXX˺ to and for the use and provisioning of the said shipp
44. which as the said Carey said was then riding neere the New Crane of
45. Wapping, and this deponent sawe the said beef put into a boate by the
46. said Careys order, and sawe the said beef goe aboard the said shipp therewith
