Transcription

To the first hee saith that hee doth very well knowe the shipp
the Allen frigott arlate, whereof hee hath heard that the Interrogated
Raph Pratt was Master when shee came last from Bristoll, and
saith that her lading sent downe by the Owners and Commissioners att
the Proze office, to bring her upp to this Port of London, did s[?ee] some
of the bills of lading which specified that shee was Bound from the
said Port of Bristo[?w] to this of London, And further hee saith hee cannot
depose saveing that hee knoweth the said shipp when shee was
built.

To the second hee saith that Captaine William Thomas and Mary
Shotton the Producent were Part Owners of the said Shipp her tackle
apparell and furniture, shee the said Producent being made Executrix
of the will of William Allen which hee this deponent hath seene wherein
hee saith his share or part of the said shipp was givena nd disposed
to her the said producent And further hee cannot depose./

To the third hee saith that the said shipp being taken and brought into
Milford Have was delivered into the possession of Justi[?ce]
White Vice Admirall there from whome hee saith hee had the said
Shipp surrendred to him by an order from the Comissioners for the
Prizes which he brought upp to this Port of London And further
hee saith hee cannot depose./

To the first hee saith that the said producent had a share and
part of the said shipp but what or the worth thereof hee saith
hee cannot declare

To the second hee saith hee cannot depose to any part thereof.

To the third hee saith hee cannot depose, being then att London, and
not belonging to the said shipp, s[XXX]ing hee beleaveth that the
shipps boate was lost when she was taken, for that there was no boate
belonging to her when hee came downe to Milford Haven where he saith
hee was forced a buy a new one, And otherwise answareth not./

Captaine William Thomas of the Libertie of the Tower of
London Mariner, aged 50 yeeres or thereabouts sworne and
examined saith and deposeth as followeth.

To the first Interrogatorie hee saith and deposeth

To the second Interrogatorie hee deposeth that hee this deponent and the producent Mary Shotton
, were the time interrogated sole owners of thes said shipp, videlicet
hee this deponent of five eighth parts and the said mary owner of three
eighth parts of the said shipp the Allen frigot, which interest therein of
the said Mary came and arcrued unto her as being Executrix of the [?will]
of William Allen the elder, Shipwright, who at the time of his death
was owner of the said three eighth parts. And otherwise hee cannot depose.

To the third Interrogatorie hee saith and deposeth that the said shipp after her departure
from Bristoll was in her course for London met with and taken off the
lands end (as hee was informed) by a Jersey man of warr, and afterwards
retaken
