Biographical synthesis

Edward Odling (b.ca.1599;d.?), doctor of phyisck. Resident in March 1657 in the parish of Saint Andrews Wardrobe, London.

Evidence from High Court of Admiralty

Edward Odling deposed in the High Court of Admiralty on March 2nd 1657.[1] His deposition was in response to an allegation put in in the case of "Ketch and others against the shipp the Minories and against James Boydon."[2]

The three earlier deponents in the same case were:

  1. The fifty-four year old John Ketch of Nightingale Lane in the parish of Algate, London, who had been the master of the Minories[3]


  1. The forty-eight year old William Barber of Wappping in Middlesex, who has been master's mate of the Minories[4]


  1. The fifty year old Clemens Simpson of Wapping in Middlesex, who had been gunner on the Minories[5]
