Transcription

to understand (and verily veleeveth the sayd advise and report to be true)
that the allegate Roger Vivian departed this life in or about the moneth
of August 1651 And saith that alsoe by a letter of advise which hee
this deponent receaved from Coventrie about the 27th f October 1652
subscribed Mary hopkins (which letter hee verily beleeveth to
be the proper hand writing of Mary hopkins the wife of the
allegate Sampson hopkins deceased) as alsoe by Common report
of Merchants and others in the Cittie of London, it appeareth to this deponent
that the sayd Sampson hopkins departed this life at Coventrie
in or about the moneth of October 1652, And saith that the sayd
Roger Vivian and Sampson hopkins are commonly and generally
reputed to be dead, and hee this deponent for the reasons before
expressed beleeveth the sayd reporte and advise to be true And further to
the sayd allegation hee cannot depose../

Thomas Whiting of the parish of Saint Stephen
Coleman streete Cittizen and haberdasher of
London aged 30 yeares or thereabouts a witnes
sworne and examined saith and deposeth as followeth
videlicet/

To the sayd allegation in the acts of Court hee saith and deposeth
that hee knoweth that the allegate John Gayer and Robert
Gayer the sonnes of the allegate Sir John Gayer are both of them
in their respective minorities for that hee this deponent findeth
by search of the severrall Registries of the respective parishes of
Saint Andrew Undershaft and Saint Catherine Creechurch London
that the sayd children were christned or baptized the severall
dayes following videlicet the sayd John Gayer in the parish of Saint
Andrew Undershaft the seaventeenth day of August one
thousand sixe hundred thirty fower as by the Register bookof the sayd parish appeared to this deponent And the sayd Robert
Gayer in the parish of Saint Katherine Creechurch the seaventeenth
day of March in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand
sixe hundred thirty five as by the Register booke there to this deponent appeareth and thereby knoweth that they [?have GUTTER]
