To the 10th article of the said Allegation hee saith that for and dureing the space
of many yeares and moneths last past hee the said Nicolas Van
Elen hath bin and att present is the factor or correspondent of
the said John Temmincke And for such was and is accompted and comonly
reputed and soe much hee saith hee hath often heard bothe the said John Temmincke and the said Van Elen
himselfe acknowledge and declare. And further cannot depose.

To the 13th and 14th articles hee saith that the said Nicolas Van
Elen was And is comonly and generally accompted a
flandrian by birth and of this deponents knowledge doeth
live and inhabite in Bayone as a merchant stranger and a factor there
onely and not as a subiect to the ffrench king or the States of the United
Netherland Provinces And saith that the said John Temmincke as hee hath heard was
borne
