Biographical synthesis
HCA 13/71 f.18r Annotate (b. ca. 1602; d. ?). Mariner.
Resident in 1656 in Shadwell.
Prior to residence in Shadwell, George Phillips had been a prisoner in Spain, and xame aboard the ffreindshipp at Mallaga to get a passage home".[1]
Evidence from High Court of Admiralty
Fifty-two year old George Phillips deposed on March 20th 1656 in the High Court of Admiralty. He was examined on an allegation in the case of "Wright and company against Lenthall and others".[2]
George Phillips stated that he had been at Mallaga twice.
