Upon the arlate allegation given in and
asmitted on the 20th of January 1654 on the
sayd Rich his behalfe.

Thomas Large of Wapping=wall in the parish
of Stepney in the County of Middlesex Mariner, where
he hath lived about five yeares past, aged about
28 yeares, borne at Burneham Markett in the
County of Norfolke, a wittnes produced sworne
and examined, he deposeth as followeth

To the first article of the sayd allegation given in and admitted
on the behalfe of the sayd Rich he deposeth and saith
that he this deponent was Quarter Master in the shipp the
Elizabeth at her going from Gravesend upon the
voyage arlate, and that he this deponent was present and
helping at the tome of the taking in her victualls and
other provisions, and that he did alsoe helpe and worke in
the stowing of the same in the hould of the sayd shipp
and that he then [?conXXXXtured] and guessed, and doth now
beleive that the same were victualls and other provisions
enough for 140 men for about fower monthes, And
further he cannot depose./

To the seaventh article he deposeth and saith that he this deponent
being Quarter=Master in the said shipp was present at the
sayd shipp the Elizabeth her taking of seven prizes all
within twelve days after the sixth of December 1651 arlate
and that the arlate Captaine Stanton sent one of the
said prizes to this port of London, another to Weyemouth
and another to Plymouth, and that he went with the other
fower of the sayd seaven prizes into the Isle of Wight,
and that he went thether to the sayd Isle of Wight with
his man of warre alsoe And he the deponent saith that
the said Captaine Stanton arlate did soe arrive with the
said fower prizes and his owne man of warre in the Isle
of Wight about the twentith day of December 1651 arlate
And further he cannot depose.

To the ninth and tenth articles of the sayd allegation he deposeth
and saith that he this deponent being one of the Quartermasters
of the shipp arlate and present at the taking of the
seaven prizes by him predeposed of was alsoe present when
the sayd Captaine Stanton did arrive with his man of warre
and fower of the sayd prizes at the Isle of Wight on or abiut
the day aarlate, and that he the deponent continued with the
said shipp the Elizabeth the man of warre arlate untill the
midst of ffebruary 1651 arlate, and that then he came
up to London, And he sayth that before such time as he
left the sayd Captaine Stanton there at the Isle of Wight
that it was his this deponents desire and alsoe the desire of all
the sayd shipps Company to have putt out againe to sea to
have proceeded upon their imployment by vertue of the Commission[?s]
