Transcription

of the sayd shipp the Watching Crane which he saith doth belong to
the Port of fflushing and that she tooke in her present lading of
salt at Brouaye to be (as the skipper sayd) transported to
haver de Grace in ffrance, whither she was sayling to make
delivery thereof having come directly from Brouaye before
the seizure:- And saith hee knoweth not the lader, or owner of
the sayd salt nor to whom the same was to be delivered nor what
freight was to be payd for the same nor by whom nor where nor
the value or certayne quantity thereof onely he heard the
skipper say It was betwixt eight and nyne hundred but
what sort of measure he meant thereby knoweth not. And
further cannot depose.

To the 6. and 7th he saith the sayd shipp hath five gunnes, six
[?Xaphances], 6 pistolls, three Cables, four anchors, two foresayles
two mayne top sayles, and other sayles single. And other furniture
Convenient.

To the 8. 9. and 10th he saith he is Boatswaine of the sayd shipp
and came first on board the same at fflushing aforesayd, And
further saving as aforesayd he cannot depose.

To the 11. 12. 13. 14. he saith he knoweth nothing thereof

Andreas Dirickson of Buychsloat in holland
mariner Boatswayne of the sayd shipp the Jacob
aged thirty yeares or thereabouts sworne and
examined saith as followeth, [?videlicet]

To the 1. 2. 3. 4 and 5th Interrogatories he saith he hath knowne the sayd
shipp ever since May last for all which tyme he hath bene and
now is Boatswayne of her and came first on board her att [?Amsterdam GUTTER]
to which Port the sayd shipp did and doth belong, but her [?owners GUTTER]
he saith he knoweth not And moreover saith that her present
lading is salt and noe other merchandizes, and the same [?were GUTTER]

the use and accompt of the ffrench Merchants knowne by the
