and provisions predeposed of and further hee cannot depose
To the 12th article of the sayd libell hee saith hee referreth himselfe
to the Registry of this Court and further cannot depose/
To the 13th article saving his foregoeing deposition hee cannot depose
To 14th hee cannot depose./
To the 15th saving his foregoeing deposition hee cannot depose/
To the last hee saith his foregoeing deposition is true
To the Interrogatories./ [CENTRE HEADING]
To the first Interrogatorie hee saith hee cometh to testifie the truth
of his knowledge in this cause at the request of the producent to whome hee
is noe waies of kinne, and saith hee hath receaved nothing nor expecteth
any thing for his testimony in this cause and saith it will bee noe
benefit or preiudice to him whether the producent doth prevaile or
not in this cause./
To the second Interrogatorie hee saith hee knoweth the shipp the Johns Adventure
and hath knowne her ever since before shee tooke in her provisions mentioned
in the second schedule libellate in the moneths of May June or July
1652 and saith that hee first sawe her, and was on board her neere
Wapping new stayres but the tyme hee remembreth not, and saith shee is of
about the burthen of three hundred tonns and saith hee ddid not see any of the
materialls demanded in this suite imployed, upon the sayd shipp or delivered
into her for that hee this deponent deivered them on shoare to the Mariners and those
imployed with boates by the sayd Richard Thurston to Carrie the same on board
the sayd shipp, but stayed not to see them put on board the sayd shipp And saith
hee hath skill in buying and selling such goods and provisions as are predeposed of for that
he was an Apprentice to the sayd John dell who sold the same and lived with
him three yeares and did often buy and sell goods of the same sort for his sayd
Master and thereby knoweth them to bee of the value predeposed/
To the third Interrogatorie hee saith hee knoweth the Interrogate Richard Thurston
and soe hath done for these 4 yeares last past or thereabouts and saith the sayd
Thurstone did give order to this deponents sayd Master John dell and this deponent to deliver
all the goods and provisions in sayd two schedules lilate expressed to his the
sayd Thurstones Mariners and Company of his sayd shipp Johns Adventure
and what money is paid or whether there by any bond or bill given for the
remaynder hee knoweth not./
