This page provides a glossary to commercial terminology found in seventeenth century primary documents. Legal terms of commercial importance are to be found in the companion legal glossary.

Court Leet and baron
Long hundred: 120 (e.g. "(referring to the Act of 1533 which made it illegal to keep flocks over 2400 sheep) if any person hath or doth keep above the number of two thousand sheep, besides lambs of one year's age..."
