1. To the second he answereth, that he well knoweth all the
2. parties agents, himselfe being one of the Shipps Company in
3. the homeward=bound voyage; and that the Mariners
4. ought to prevayle in this suite, because their wages
5. are iustly due unto them./
6. To the third he refereth himselfe to his former deposition
7. And further he knoweth not to answere./
8. To the fourth he cannot answare./
9. To the fifth he answereth that he hath bin a Seaman these
10. nine or tenn yeares, but remembreth not how many voyages
11. he hath made, and that having never been in soe great
12. and violent a storme as what he mett with in the voyage
13. interrate he knoweth not how to answere to the later
14. part of this Interrogatory
15. To the sixth he saith that he can write and reade
16. written hand./
17. To the seaventh he answereth that he hath not deposed to
18. the effect interrate./
19. To the eight he answereth that the weather was foggy when
20. she arrivd at Abderdey, and he conceivs that had she not
21. mist the channell she might have bin (by Gods providence)
22. a good way towards London by that time she arrived
23. at Bristoll.
24. To the ninth he answereth that he did not heare either the
25. interrate Croford or any of his Mates give any such order
26. as is interrate, And otherwise (referring himselfe to his
27. former deposition) he knoweth not to answeare./
28. To the tenth he referreth himselfe to his former deposition
29. And further he cannot answere.
30. To the 11th he saith that Aberdey is a great deale neerer
31. to Bristoll them (sic) to London by water, And further he
32. knoweth not to answere./
33. To the twelth he answereth that the Shipp interrate was not
34. worse (as he remembreth) when she came into Abderdey then she
35. was at any time after the storme predeposed of, but he saith
36. the pumpes were continually kept going, And to the ˹he˺ referreth
37. himselfe unto his former deposition and answeres And
38. further knoweth not to answere./
39. To the 13th he answereth that at Pennarth there were some
40. provisions (but what or how much he knoweth not) brought
41. aboard the sayd shipp at Penarth, And further referring
42. himselfe to his former deposition he knoweth not to answere./
43. To the last he answereth that he the Rendent is the
44. selfe same Marke Bennett mentioned and named in
45. the schedule interrate./
