Johannes Manninge parochia Sancti Nicholasi Acon Lornon mercator
aetatis 28 annorum aut circiter testis in hac parte productus
iuratus et examinatus dicit quod Johem Painter per 7 annos
aetapps et aut circiter et Thoma Clarke per 4 annos aetapss
aut circiter bene respective novit./

Ad primum secundum et reliquos arlos libelli in hac parte dat et oblat
dicit et deponit That in or about the monethes of October or November
Anno domini 1634 arlate, the arlate shipp the Expedition of Ipswich
(whereof the arlate Thomas Clarke was master) arrived in safetye at
Oratavo in the Islands of Teneriffe, where after her arrrivall
the sayd Clarke in this deponents presence tould the arlate John
Lambell factor for the arlate John Paynter, that there were fower
bales of goods abord his sayd shipp for which he had (by the order, of
William Jarvis the factor who laded the sayd goods) signed bills of
ladinge unto the sayd Painter, and that the sayd Painter had
consigned the sayd goods unto him the sayd Lambell for the accompte
of him the sayd Paynter, and that the sayd Paynter had
sent one of the bills of ladinge signed by him the sayd
Clarke for the sayd goods togeither with a letter and Invoyce of the sayd
goods, unto him the sayd Lambell
