I am a retired technology leader in banking and entertainment, and a long-time independent researcher on costume and textiles. My particular passions are Elizabethan and Jacobean portraiture and clothing; needlework of all sorts; and Pre-Raphaelite art (especially textiles), with occasional forays into Arthuriana, California history, and folklore.

I've been active in online community-building since 1991 and a Wikipedian since 2005. I spend most of my time wrangling metadata for the Wikidata project. I live in a small house full of books in Los Angeles.
