Ad 2um afffirmat That aboute two yeares since the arlate shipp
the Unitie sett saile from London bounde out to Lisbone and
other partes beyode the seas, and (as those of her Companie
which were then aboard her said) she betweeene London and
Gravesend, fell foule of a lighter laden with earth or dunge
which soone after sunke, and he well knoweth that at that
time the said Brighte was sicke on shoare at his house at
Deptford and wente not downe to the said shipp untill
after she arrived at Gravesend onboard bounde uppon
the sayd voyage, but there was a Pilott aboard her who
had the charge abd myndeinge of her And this he affirmeth
uppon his oath to be true who was Cooke of the said shippe
the said voyage, and went aboard her when the said Brighte
came there aboard her but was not aboard her when the
said dammage was done Et alr nescit.
