Biographical synthesis
Edward Peirce (b. ca. 1618; d. ?). Mariner.
Boatswain's mate on the ship the Mary and John eight years before deposition in 1654 (so in ca. 1646).
Lived in 1654 in Limehouse.
Evidence from High Court of Admiralty
Thirty-six year old Edward Peirces deposed on January 16th 1654 on a libel on behalf of the plaintiffs Thomas Hodges Thomas Briggs and Company in the case of "Thomas Hodges Thomas Briggs and Company late owners of the shipp named the Mary and John (whereof ffrancis Hardridge was master) against John Osbosin and others".[1]
