Resident in 1655 in the parish of Saint Bartholomew by the Exchange.
Evidence from High Court of Admiralty
Thirty-five year old Joseph Ashe deposed on September 5th 1655 in the High Court of Admiralty. He was examined on an allegation on behalf of Arnold Leon in the case of "The clayme of Arnold Leon for his goods in the shipp called the Sphera Mundi taken by some ship or shipps in the immediate service of this Commonwealth".[1]
