To the 6: and 7:th hee saith, That the said producent is an Antwerper
borne, as hee beleeveth, and for such is commonly accompted, and is a Merchant
of Antwerp and a Subject of the King of Spaine, and hath for 7 yeares last
past of this deponents knowledge, and for many yeares before, as this deponent
hath observed by his bookes of Accompts, drive (sic) a trade, and sent severall goods
and Merchandizes from fflanders to Cadiz and Saint Lucar in Spaine to his ffactors
there abideing, to be there disposed of for his accompt, and returnes to be made
for the same in silver money or goods to him in fflanders And saith That no dutchmen
or ffrenchmen Subjects of the King of ffrance or of the States of the United Provinces had or have any
right title or interest in the said peeces of eight predeposed. The premisses hee
deposeth and knoweth being as aforesaid Cashier and booke keeper to the said
producent, and having so been for 7. yeares last past or thereabouts...
