On the same day Examined on the said Allegation,/
Rp. 2us.
Thomas Pickett of Poole in the County of dorsett
Marriner aged 33 or thereabouts sworne and Examined deposeth
as followeth./
To the first article [ADD TEXT]
To the second article hee saith and deposeth that within the time arlate [?that GUTTER]
the said George Scutt the elder George Scutt and Company did sett out
and imploy the said shipp the Jane and Elizabeth from the Port of Poole
arlate on a fishing voyage to Newfound land and so to returne againe
for England And hee saith that the said shipp did safely arrive att
Newfound land, and there tooke in her lading of ffish and oyle for the [?Account GUTTER]
of the said George Scutt the elder George Scutt and Company aforesaid which hee
knoweth for that hee went out in the said shipp the said voyage and was one
of the Company of her as aforesaid And further hee cannot depose./
To the third hee saith and deposeth that after such time as the shipp the
Jane and Elizabeth had received and taken in the said lading of ffish
and oyle att Newfound land as aforesaid she did sett saile there with and
was bound for Poole But in her passage thither, he saith the said shipp
and her lading was mett with, nere about Michaelmas last within
the time arlate, by a Jersey man of warr, and she and her lading
surprized taken and Carried into Jersey where they doe nowe
remaine, which hee knoweth for that hee was then taken out of the
said shipp and sett on shore in Portland, And further referring
himselfe to his depositions hereafter expressed hee saith hee cannot depose.
