1. said to be one of the said bills soe by him then signed, and that in and
2. by the same bill it appeareth that the s>aid pack seaven small packs of
3. merchandizes were laden for the account and adventure of the Sieurs
4. Robert and hendrick Mechenburgh Merchants dwelling at Amsterdam;
5. but for the contents of the said packs hee saith hee knoweth ˹not˺. the same.
6. ffurther hee deposeth that the said seaven packs of marchandize were
7. all on board the said shipp the hare in the ffeild ˹in good order and condition˺ when shee was seized
8. by the Tyger and the Dragon two of the men of warr of this
9. Commonwealth, on the fifteenenth of the said moneth of March last
10. and came to the hands of the Captaines and officers of this Commonwealth
11. upon the said seizure; And after the said seizure the said shipp was
12. brought into Portsmouth, bXX and that since the said goods being ˹ordered to be˺ restored
13. by authoritie of this Court, this deponent who (upon the first seizure
14. was taken from and but lately suffered to come aboard his shipp)
15. hath bin informed by this deponent that XXXX suffered to come aboard XXX XXXXX
16. saith hee hath bin informed both by the merchant and others that there could be but
17. six of the ˹said packs˺ found, and that one of them was and is wholly missing
18. and lost to the said owners. And otherwise cannot depose, saving
19. That the said shipp when the said seizure was made was in her
20. course of proceeding from in her voyage from haver de Grace for
21. the barr of cadiz; and saving that the said shipp shee was brought
22. from {Ports}mouth to London by authoritie of this Commonwealth, and was
23. lying before Blackwall when the said goods six packs were found
24. and restored, and that the said pack was soe lost out of of her after this
25. deponents being put out of her upon the said seizure.

as aforesaid
33. To the first, second and third Interrogatories hee saith and deposeth that
34. there were at haver de Grace in or about the beginning of May 1655
35. laden aboard the shipp the hare in the ffeild of Middleborowe (whereof
36. John Keni was commander) seaven small packs of marchandizeNo. 1. 2. 3. 4.

38. Cadiz and there to be delivered according to bill of lading, and which hee
39. knoweth because hee was Stiersman of the said shipp and sawe the lading

41. of the lading of the said shipp. And saith the said seaven packs of goods
42. were aboard the said shipp the hare in the ffeild when shee was seized
43. by the Tyger and the Dragon two of the shipps of this Commonwealth
