ffortune and Richard hasleton against Joseph Tilley}
and others, owners of the same.}
Examined upon an allegation given in
this cause on the behalfe of the
said Browning and others.

John Wheelewright of Saint Buttolphs Bishopsgate London
Armourer aged 44 yeares or thereabouts a wittnes sworne
and examined saith and deposeth as followeth videlicet./
To the first article hee saith for that hee was one of the Company of the arlate
shipp the ffortune in the voyage in question hee knoweth that the arlate Joseph Tilly
Robert Cordall Adrian Vanderpost and Company were commonly reputed and
accompted to be true and lawfull Owners and Proprietors of the sayd shipp
ffortune and of her tackle apparrell and furniture from about the
25th day of July 1654 and untill the tyme shee
was cast away which was in the moneth of Aprill 1655 And further to this
article hee cannot depose/
To the 2 and 3 articles
To the 4th hee saith hee well knoweth that from the tyme that hee this deponent
became one of the sayd shipps company which was in July 1654 untill the
25th day of March last the arlate Thomas Browneing as Master thereof
and Richard hasleton as his man and a mariner of the sayd shipp did
continue in the sayd shipp the one as Master and the other as a
mariner thereof and did their service therein during the sayd tyme and further
hee cannot depose/
