The keepers of the Libertie of England}
by authoritie of Parliament against the}
shipp Saint Peter, daniel Straetman master}

Daniel Straetman of hamburgh Mariner
master of the said shipp, aged 35 yeares or
thereabouts sworne before the right worshipfull
John Exton doctor of lawes one of the Judges of the
high Court of the Admiraltie and examined upon
certaine Interrogatories on the behalfe of the State saith
and deposeth as followeth videlicet.
To the fist Interrogatorie hee saith and deposeth that the owners of the
said shipp the Peter are Arnold van hasedunck, hance does, Joachim
Edwards, Joachim Gable, and hee this deponent All hamburgers and
there borne and living all their times and subiects of the free State
of hamburgh and
that the said Edward and Joachim Gable aforesaid are and
each of them owner of an eighth part and every of the other persons
of a quarter part of the said shipp, and that noe other person whatsoever
hath any interest therein.
To the second hee saith that the said shipp was by the said owners bought
at hamburgh in the yeare 1648 of one Almis Laureance of fflinsborough
which hee knoweth because hee this deponent bought the same in his
name to the use and with the money of his said owners, the said shipp
being then newe and having come only from fflinsborough in holstein
where shee was built in [MorXXXX] and soe to hamborough, and [?XXX]
the said AsmisLaurance built her and made a bill of sale to his
said owners upon the said buying her.
