gave expresse order and direction unto him this deponent that hee should
be very carefull noty to take into the said shipp any goods which should
be offered or tendred to be laden for accompt of any ffrench man or men
subiect of or to the ffrench king, and that if hee suspected any goods
offered or brought to be laden to be fore such accompt, hee should refuse
them and not receive them aboard; which order and direction hee this
deponent diligently observed, and woul not receive any goods whereof
hee had the least suspition that they were for ffrench, and to that purpose
hee retourned severall goods, and refused to receive them because hee had
that suspition of them. And otherwise hee cannot depose.

To the first hee saith hee hath belonged to and bin mater of the said shipp
the liesde;; about five monethes last, and that hee was borne at
derschelling aforesaid and hath dwelt there all his time, and saith there
were aboard the said shipp at the time of the seizure a thousand deales
belonging to teh said shipps owners, wherein hee ath share being with
two of his brothers living at Amsterdam owner of a quaarter part of the
said shipp, And otherwise hee cannot answer.
