say that the master of the Successe (speaking of the shipp the
Successe arlate) had challenged him and said that it was his shio
that had over run the Successe; and this deponent hath heard the boy
of the said shipp the dove say, that the said master of the Successe
had inticed him ashore at Newcacstle, and there [?tampered] with
him to make him say that it was the said shipp the dove that had
over run his said shipp the Successe. And otherwise hee cannot
depose.
To the third hee saith that
To the fourth hee saith hee never
To the Interrogatories. [CENTRE HEADING]
To the first Interrogatorie hee saith there were eleaven
men and two boyes of the said shipp the doves company the said
voyage
To the second Interrogatorie hee saith that the said worke about searching
the said shipp for her leake and of mending her bowe upon that
occasion
To the third Interrogatorie hee saith and deposeth that hee hath
not bin perswaded or willed to speake otherwise than the truth
And otherwise hee cannot depose saving as aforesaid.
To the fourth hee saith that the said shipp went out of Winterton
about noone, and the night of the same day shee
went over the Well; but the sayd of the moneth or weeke
hee remembreth not, And otherwise (than negatively for his
part) hee cannot answer.
