8. water in the shipp, the said master ˹or other˺ called out for a boate or lighter, which
9. came aboard to help save some of the goods, and that the vessell
10. all along drew depth of water as aforesaid, namely neere or about
11. five foote, and that shee had water enough to saile at limehouse.

yeeres or thereabouts sworne and exámined.
32. To the first article hee saith hee well knoweth the vessell arlate

34. saith shee was all the time arlate a firme stringe an staunch
35. vessell and very fit to receive and carry merchants goods from port
36. to port. And saith that in or about the beginning of May last
37. shee received severall goods abroad her (and amongst them foure
38. bales of bookes) to be brought to this port, which hee knoweth being
39. one of her company, and helping to lade and receive the said bookes
40. and goods.
41. To the second and third árticles hee saith that on about the
42. fifteenth (new stile) of May last the said vessell with the said
43. goods and bookes aboard her departed and sailed from Rotterdam
44. for this port, and about three dayes after came up thether in the
45. River of Thames as farr as Saint Catherines, and saith the said vessell
46. came all the way fairly and orderly up the River in such manner
47. and course of sailing as other vessells use to come up, and that
48. in such her sailing up the said River and after shee came within
49. the same a mischanse befell her, whereby shee sprang a leake,
