Examined upon an allegation on behalfe of the
plaintiffes.

County of Middlesex Mariner late Steward
of the sayd shipp the Swain now the Satisfa
tion. aged forty eight yeares or thereabouts
a witnesse sworne and examined saith and
deposeth as followeth. videlicet.

18. To the first Article of the sayd allegation. This deponent saith that in the monethes
19. of december January ffebruary and March 1654. the arlate Ben=
20. jamin Bressey was one of the reputed Owners of the sayd shipp the
21. Swain, and the sayd John ffaulkener Master of her and tooke upon him
22. the Charge of her. which he this deponent knoweth for that during the
23. sayd tyme he was of and did belong to the sayd shipp as Steward of
24. her. And otherwise he cannot depose.

25. To the second Article of the sayd allegation he saith, That the arlate John Vintro
26. William Hill and Henry ffenby were Mariners of and did belong
27. to the sayd shipp under the qualities of Carpenter, Gunner and Cooke.
28. during the tyme predeposed. but who hired them, when, for how long,
29. or for how=much he saith he ćannot depose.

30. To the third article of the sayd allegation he saith, that the sayd John Vintro, William Hill and Henry ffenby being imployed in the sayd shipp as aforesayd
31. did together with this deponent and others sayle and depart in and with
32. the sayd shipp from Gravesend about the ˹eleventh˺ eighth day of december 1654

39. sayd shipp arrived afterwards att ffalmouth and from thence
40. proceeded on voyage for the Bermuda's, but in her Course thither went TO DO: LOOK AT WORD IN THE GUTTER OF PHYSICAL MANUSCRIPT
41. being become leaky about the end of ffebruary or beginning of
42. March 1654. she returned and came into Millford haven to be repaired.
43. which hee knoweth to be true for that hee sayled in and the sayd shipp
44. and entred into whole pay together with the sayd plaintiffs the tyme
45. aforesayd. And otherwise hee ćannot depose.

46. To the fourth article of the sayd allegation, hee saith that whilst the sayd shipp lay
47. att Milford Haven, and about the end of March or beginning of Aprill
48. 1655. there came downe a certayne Instrument monition or decree from
49. this Court and under the Seale thereof, which this deponent saw in a Box
50. the effect whereof was, as this deponent then heard, amongst other things
51. to require the sayd Vintro, hill and ffenby to stay with and not to depart
52. the sayd shipp to the preiudice of her intended voyage. or to that effect. And
53. otherwise he cannot depose.

54. To the fifth article of the sayd allegation This deponent saith That in or about the sayd
55. moneth of Aprill or beginning of May 1655. he ćame away from Milford
56. and then left the sayd Vintro, hill and ffenby with and in the service of the
57. sayd shipp ˹according to the sayd monition˺ And otherwise he ćannot depose.
