Transcription
and comeing from the River of Bourdeaux designed for Ponterdeaux in
ffrance, one Mnsieur Pananel or Panane, (as this deponent remembreth his name)
being the freighter who laded the said ship at or neere Bourdeaux aforesaid
caused and procured a french Pylott to come aboard the shipp Saint Peter
aforesaid expressely to Conduct her thence to Potntereaux, and to take a Care of
her pyloting to Pontereaux aforesaid, And saith the said french Pylott was
not at all hyrred by this deponent then Master of the said shipp, and that hee was and
remained on board the said shipp at such time as shee lay at an anchor and
fastned to the rocks as aforesaid, The premisses are well knowne to this deponent
being Master of and aboard the said shipp during the whole Voiage in Controversie
And further cannot depose./
