Thirty-eight year old Randolf Orton deposed on July 4th 1650 in the High Court of Admiralty.[1] He was examinate on a libel in the case of XXX.
The case concerned damage to the ship the Phillip, which had been hauled up on Dicks shore. There it had come to rest partially on the anchor stock of another ship, the Saint Jacob (Master: Hance Claeson).
Randolf Orton stated that he was asked by the master of the Saint Jacob to come along and inspect the damage to the ship the Phillip.[2]
