IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN The sixth day of November Anno Domini one thousand seven hundred and nineteen and in the sixth year of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lord George by the Grace of God King of Great Britain ffrance and Ireland Defender of the ffaith x:r I Dorothy Vachell of the parish of S:t Mary in Reading in the County of Berks Widow being of a disposing Mind Memory and Understanding Thanks be to God for it do make and declare this my last Will and Testament in Manner and fforme following
ffirst I bequeath my soul to God and my Body I order to be interred in my late husband Tangeild Vachell Esq:r his ffamily Vault in the North Isle of the parish church of S:t Mary aforesaid as privately as with decency may be as to my worldly Estate which God of his great mercy hath been pleased to bestow upon me I give devise and bequeath the same in Manner following that is to say I give devise and bequeath all and singular my Mannnors Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever scituate lyeing and being in Etlington als Utingdon in the County of Northton (sic) or in any other Town Villageor Plce whatsoever in the said County of Northton or in the Counties of Leicester and Huntingdon or either of them or elsewhere within that part of Great Britain called England with their and every of their Appurtenances unto my well beloved son George Vachell his heirs and Assignes forever
ITEM I give and bequeath unto my son George all my personall Estate of what nature quality or kind soever the same be nevertheless it is my Will andI do hereby charge all my said Reall and personal Estate with the payment of all such just debts as I shall owe at the time of my decease and with the payment also of my ffunerall and Testamentary charges and Expences and the Legacyes herein after specified that is to say unto my eldest son Thomas Vachell Esq:r one Guinea in Gold unto my Son William Vachell the sum of ffifty pounds unto my Son Henry Vachell the sum of one hundred pounds and unto my son Charles the sum of one hundred pounds All which Legacyes or Sums of Money so hereby given to my sayd sons William Henry and Charles I order shall be paid to them respectively within two yeares next after my decease
ITEM I give and bequeath unto my daughter Beatricia the sum of ffifty pounds to be payd her at two payments that is to say one moiety thereof at the end of two years next after my decease and the other moiety or Remainder thereof within three years next after my decease
ITEM I give unto Anne Shephard the Wife of William Shephard and my late Servant the sum of ffive pounds
ITEM I give unto myMaid Servants that shall live with me at the Time of my decease twenty shillings apeice an di make and appoint my said Son George Vachell the full and sole
