Examined upon the said Allegation:-/

George Boschaert of Antwerp Merchant aged 33
yeares or thereabouts sworne and examined/:-
To the first article of the said Allegation hee saith, That the arlate Edward Peters
for theise 12. yeares last past or thereabouts, wherein this deponent hath knowne him
by correspondencie and personally, hath beene and now is a Merchant
who hath for all that time and still doeth trade to Saint Lucar and Cadiz in Spaine
for sylver and other Commodities, and had and hath his factors there to whom hee hath
sent divers goods wares and Merchandizes to bee by them disposed off for his accompt
which hee knoweth for the reasons hereafter expressed, And Otherwise cannot depose
To the second hee saith, That in the yeares 1651. and 1652. last past and moneths
therein respectively concurring or some of them the said Edward Peters did send
from Ostend in fflanders severall fflemmmish or fflanders goods wares and merchandizes of a great valew to
John Lamotte William Jansen and others his ffactors and Correspondents at Cadiz
in Spaine, for the said Peters his owne accompt, which goods the said ffactors alsoe
received, The premisses this deponent knoweth for that before the sending of the
said goods to Spaine, the said Edward Peters the partie producent in this Cause showed
unto this deponent at Antwerp in his owne howse great quantities of lace and factories for linnen and
Rissels stuffs, which hee accordingly caused to be laden in the same shipps wherein
this deponent also sent goods for Spaine, and after the said producents goods were received
aboard such shipps as were to transport them from Ostend to Spaine, the said producent
showed this deponent the bill of lading which hee had received for the same, and after the
said goods were arrived and delivered in Spaine to the said producents ffactors upon
advice thereof from them received this deponent saw the insurance cleared which the
producent had made upon his said goods. And otherwise saving his following deposition
hee saith hee cannot depose, and saving that the said producent oftentimes alsoe
told and acquainted this deponent about the tyme of the sending of the said goods, that
hee had sent order to his said ffactors to dispose of the same for the accompt, and
to make him returnes thereof in sylver plate and moneys:/
To the third article hee saith an deposeth, That the said Edward Peters
in or about the moneth of July August September and October in the
yeare 1652. last past by his said factors did Cause to be laden and putt on board
the shipp the Salvadore, (Christian Cloppenburgh Master) then lying at or neare
Cadiz in Spaine for his the said Producents accompt and adventure four ssmall
barrs of sylver made up in Canvas weighing together one hundred ninety seaven
markes three ounces and a halfe of the first marke and number in the
margent, three barrs of sylver of the second marke and number in the
margent and two barrs of sylver of the third marke and number in the margent
And did in or about the time predeposed cause also to be laden on board the shipp
the Sampson (Otto George Master) for the said accompt three barrs of silver
of the 5th marke and number in the margent, two barrs of sylver of the
5th marke and number in the margent, two silver peeces covered with canvas
of the 6th marke weighing togeather 62. markes, and one bagg of the 7th
marke in the margent sealed containing foure hundred spanish [?Matts] And
did also at or about the tyme and place and for the accompt predeposed cause to be
laden aboard the Saint George, John Martinsdorp Master foure little barrs of
