IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I Tanfeild Vachell of Coley in the parish of S.t Henrys in Reading in the county of Berks Esq:r Doe make this my last Will and Testament in manner following

IMPRIMIS I give and bequeath unto my loveing wife Dorothy Vachell all those my Meannors or Lordshipps of Wheatly and Coley and all that my ffarme called Battle ffarme with theire and each of theire appurtenances and all those my Landes and Tenements lyeing and being in the parishes of Reading Tilehurst Shinfeild Binfeild, or elsewhere in the said County of Berks To have and to hold the said premisses with theire appurtenances unto my saide wife and her heires should raise by sale mortgage Lease or out of the Rentes of the premisses or any part thereof (not already settled into Joynture to my said wife) such sume and sumes of money that shall be necessary to pay off my debts that I shall owe at the time of my decease and That from and after my debts shall be paid by sale of the premisses or any part thereof pr otherwise as aforesaid Then upon this further Trust that my said Wife and her heires should raise as aforesaid five hundred pounds for each of my younger children and to pay the same respectively to each of them as they shall attaine the age of Twenty one yeares or days of marriage which shall first happen provided they are with the consent of my said wife And from and after such payments as aforesaid Then my said wife to convey the premisses or any part thereof unsold to my sonn Thomas Vachell and his heires

Lastly I give all my Goodes and Chattells to my said Wife Dorothy Vachell whom I make my Executrix of this my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I have sett my hand and seale this present fourteenth day of January One Thousand Seaven hundred and one
