7. Examined upon the libell.
8. John Case of the parish of St Olaves
9. in Southwark Mariner, aged 46 years
10. or thereabouts sworne and examined.</margin>

12. To the first article of the said libell hee saith and deposeth that
13. in the years 1652 and 1653 hee this deponent was master
14. and Commander of the shipp the Stamboline ˹arlate˺ and and the care and
15. charge of her and was in possession of her as Master, and
16. for such was commonly accompted and repeated.
17. To the second, 3. 4. ˹and 5˺ and 6th articles of the said libell and the respective
18. schedules therewith annexed were showed unto him herewith and
19. deposeth that within the time libellate the respective persons
20. arlate mentioned in the said fourth ˹second˺ articles, were owners and proprietors
21. of all and singular the goods and materialls respectively set downe
22. and mentioned in the eight schedules annexed to the said libell
23. and for such commonly accompted, and that within the said time
24. namely in or about the month of ffebruary 1653 (as hee
25. remembreth the time) the producent Edward Hopwood did deliver
26. or cause to be delivered to the use of the said shipp Stamboline
27. all and singular the respective goods and materialls mentioned
28. in the first schedule annexed to the said libell, amounting in
29. value to -36l-2s-10d and that William Bowyer another of
30. the producents delivered or caused to be delivered ˹within the time libellate˺ to the case aforesaid
31. the goods and materialls mentioned in second smudges part of the
32. second schedule begining (Master John Case is debitor 11 ffebruary 16 TO DO: IN GUTTER
33. and amounting to -9l-15-4d, John ˹Joseph˺ Beaumont those goods
34. and materialls mentioned in the third schedule, amounting to 9l-13s- TO DO: IN GUTTER
35. John harris those d mentioned in the fourth schedule, amounting
36. to 17l-16s. John Cooke those mentioned in the fifth schedule
37. amounting to 15l-13d. John Wright those mentioned in the
38. sixth schedule, amounting to -1l-4d. Mattias hatton
39. those mentioned in the seventh schedule amounting to -3l-6s-2d
40. and Thomas Abrahall those mentioned in the eighth schedule
41. amounting to -25l-4d, and saith then hee this deponent
42. as master gave order for the delivery and sawe the delivery of
43. many of them, and was acquainted with and made prior to the
44. delivery of the rest, by goeing to the shopps or houses of the
45. said producents and seeing and receiving their bills of and
46. for the same, this deponent being therein imployed by the said
47. owners of the said shipp, which at the time and times of the
48. said delivery load is made of the said respective goods and
49. materialls, being bound out a sea on a voyage; and further
50. saith then he verily beleeveth the said respective goods were
51. worth the severall sumes aforementioned and with the said schedules
52. expressed, and were carried aboard and imployed to the smudge
53. said shipps use and provisioning. And otherwise hee cannot
54. depose.
55. To the 7th hee referreth himself to the Reprise of this Court.
56. To the 8th hee saith that the said John Hill is a subiect of this TO DO: Court xxxx OUT OF FOCUS
