Evidence from High Court of Admiralty
Forty-four year old Henry Denbe deposed on June 28th 1656 in the High Court of Admiralty.[1] He was examined on an allegation "John Crampe, Thomas Chamberlaine and Company owners the shipp the George Bonadventure against George ffarrington".[2]
Henry Denbe described a thirty-six day voyage from Torbay to Zant in the Eastern Mediterranean in Secember 1654 and January 1655. After receiving her lading she had waited a further three weeks in the River Thames before departing. The ship was freighted by George ffarington.
His ship the George Bonadventure was of the burthen of 140 or 160 tons.
