November 1658. Is the "Lady Bisk" of Elizabeth Dallison's letter a mistranscription by me or by Oxenden's copyist for Bishe?)[5]
- Grandfather of Guybon Goddard was Thomas Goddard gent., lord of manor of Castleacre Priory, and two messuages of land in east and west Rudham, in manor of East Rudham, as per an inquisition at King's Lynn, IV Charles I; Father was Thomas Goddard (d. 1613), and mother was Mary Guibon , daughter of William Guibon. According to Blomefield Guybon Hoddard was sixteen at the death of his father in 1613, giving a birthdate of ca. 1597, not 1613 as given by Hillem, 1907: 505[6]
