IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN the ffirst day of December Anno dom 1648 And in the ffoure and Twentieth yeare of the raigne of our Soveraigne Lord Charles by the grace of God King of England, Scotland, ffrance and Ireland defender of the faith X:r I ANDREW MOREWOOD Citizen and Grocer of London being sicke and weake in bodie but of sound and perfect minde and memorie (praise bee therefore given to Allmightie God) doe make and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme followinge that is to say,

ffirst and principally I commend my soule into the hande of Almighty God my merciful ffather; trustinge and assuredly beleiveing

that through the mercie and the death and merritts of Jesus Christ my alone Saviour I shall have free remission of all my sinnes and bee made partaker of the Kingdome of heaven w:th the Elect and chosen people of God, And my body I committ to the earth to bee decentlie buried at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named, And touching such temporall goods and substance as God in his mercie hath blessed mee w:thall in this life I dispose thereof as followeth

FFIRST my will and desire is That all and only such debts and somes of monie whatsoever as at the time of my decease I shall truely owe to any person or persons shalbe satisfied and paid by my Executrix w:thin as short time after my death as conveniently maybee, And the debts oweing by mee and my ffunerall charges paid or deducted, All the residue of my goods Chattells, debts abd personall estate Together w:th the monies w:ch shall arrise uppon the sale of my Dwellinge house in Bartholomew lane in London hereafter menconed shall accordinge to y:e laudable Custome of the Cittie of London be devided into Three equall parts or shares
