or wilchins in this cause controverted hee is well assured the
same happened not through any willfull negligence or fault of the Master
and company of the Wildeman aforesayd the premisses hee deposeth
for the reasons aforesayd And further cannot depose
To the last hee saith his foregoeing deposition is true./
To the Interrogatories. [CENTRE HEADING]
To the first Interrogatorie it being done as is required hee saith saving his foregoeing deposition to
which hee referreth hee cannot answere./
To the 2 hee saith hee is Stiersman of the shipp the Wildeman and can speake
little or no English and otherwise negatively./
To the third hee answereth negatively./

Mariner Carpenter of the shipp the Wildeman aged
twenty three yeares or thereabouts a wittnes sworne and
examined saith and deposeth as followeth videlicet./

the Wildeman came there to an Anchor there was noe boye floating
to give notice of any things lyeing thereabouts or any wherrie
lying there or person to give notice of any thinge lying neere there nor
that did call out to the Master and Company of the sayd shipp not to
lett fall his Anchor there or to wish him to take the same
up againe the same being there lett fall, the premisses hee deposeth
for that hee was Carpenter on board the sayd shipp and upon decks at
such tyme as the sayd Anchor was lett fall and looked rounde about
and must thereby of necessety have taken
notice of such boy or wherrie or persons who had called out to forbidd
letting fall the sayd Anchor if any such there had bin or any body had
soe called out And further hee cannot depose./
