Transcription

and were and are at the time of her seizure then what is
mentioned in the said Manifesto To which he referreth
himselfe And further he cannot answeare.

To the fifth Interrogatory he answereth that the goods interrate were
laden aboard the said shipp at Marselleis, and that that
part of the shipps Lading which were for the account of
hollanders he this Rendent received there of one Isaer Lausin
a dutchmanm and the goods for the account of the
Sallycovers and Scotrink from their Agents there, which
were Switzers, And that the said shipp with her Lading
was bound for haverdegrace in ffrance, And further he
cannot answeare, saying he referreth himselfe to the bills
of Lading taken aboard the said shipp./

To the sixth Interrogatory he answereth that this Rendent did
goe alsoe from hambrough with the said shipp and her Lading
of beanse and pease and other goods besides the stowage wood first to Allicant in Spayne and
thence to Marselleis, where the rest of the shipps Lading
that was not unladed at Allicant was delivered unto the
Agents of the Sallycovers and Scotrinke, whose names
were John Lewis Sallycover, Bartholomew Sallycover
henry Sallycover and Bartholomew Schw[?inger], for the
account of the Owners videlicet, Scotrinke, Longerman and
the Sallygrovers of Sangall./

To the seaventh Interrogatory he answereth that there was noe
charter party for the voyage interrate, and that he was
to receive his freight according to his bills of lading:/

To the eight he answereth that the Pursers name is hans henry
Beckmise, the Boateswains Michael Martins and the
name of the Steersman is Andrew hinke, And that to
his best remembrance himselfe signed the most of the
bills of Lading, and those he did not firme, was signed
by the Purser, And that there are noe goods aboard
but for which bills of Lading were signed saving such goods
which are for this Rendents account and the account of some of
the said shipps Company, which are mentioned in the
sayd Manifesto./

To the ninth and tenth Interrogatoryes he answereth that the papers interrate
which were brought into the office on this very day being by
him perused at this his time of examination that they
were all delivered up by him this Rendent unto the
Captains of the Commmonwealth frigetts that tooke him, and
that besides those papers he hath his passeport from
hambrough, and the usuall Toll briefes from Marselleis
And that the said papers are all true and right and
not forged And further he cannot answeare, referring himselfe
to what he hath predeposed./

To the eleaventh Interrogatory he answereth that the noates
interrate being now read and shewen unto him that the
name Jacon {?XXXX] subscribed to the said two Noates is his
owne handwriting, and that the contents thereof are true
and that therefore he did acknowledge and confesse the
same./
