To the third hee saith that the said shipp the hope in prosecution of her
voyage for haver da Grace, was met with and seized by Captaine Johnson
and company off Cap[X] da [?hXXXX] [?on ?or about] the tenth of July last
newe stile, and with her said lading brought [?hence] by her to
Portsmouth, which hee knoweth being Skipper of and [?then] on board
the said shipp the hope, when shee was soe seized, And otherwise
hee cannot depose.

To the fourth hee saith and deposeth that at the time of the said
seizure there was a Charter parti[?a] aboard the said shipp wherein it was
said that the said shipp was freighted to carry the corne to Amsterdam

To the first hee saith hee cometh to testifie the truth, and was [?willed] by mr

for this claime, and otherwise hee cannot answer.

To the second hee saith hee expecteth noe benefit through the goods [XXX] [XXX]
prize, and otherwise answereth negatively.

To the third hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition and otherwise hee
cannot answer.

To the 4th hee answeareth negatively.

To the fifth hee saith that the said ffrenchman that laded the said corne
for his owne accompt as aforesaid was and is a subiect of the ffrench
kinge by being an Inhabitant of Nantes as aforesaid, and otherwise hee
cannot answer saveing his foregoeing deposition.

To the sixth hee saith hee intended to goe with the said lading of corne
to haver da Grace and there deliver the same for the said producents accompt
in case hee had not bin met with and seized by the said Johnson.

To the seaventh hee saith hee alsoe signed a Charter partie[?a] for the said
corne to be delivered at haver da Grace for the said
Merchants accompt, which was and is the true Charter partia[?a]. and was and
and is put aboard the said shipp together with the said merchant laders
letter[?s], and otherwise hee cannot answer saving as aforesaid.
