Twenty-five year old Jan Popeliers deposed on September 27th 1653 in the High Court of Admiralty. He was deposed on an allegation in support of Jan Bollaert in the case of "The claime of John Bollart of Antwerp for his money and plate in the Sampson Salvador and Saint George.[1]
"Being accomptant or booke keeper" to John Bollart[2]; had known John Bollart for 8 years and Gerald Riper (alt. Ryper) for 6 years[3]; deponent
