which was for about six monethes, The said shipp tackle furniture [XXX]
[XXXXX] [XX XXXX XXXXX XXX XXXX] thirteene hundred pounds att the least, And
otherwise he cannot depose./
To the fifth hee saith that att the time of the setting forth of the said shipp
and att her seisure shee was a st[XXXX] tight and staunch shipp amd [XX]
well and suffivcientlt apparelled and furnished haveing 12 Gunnes in her with
ammunition fitting thereunto, with 18 men and two boyes, and had sufficient [XX]
shott (or thereabouts) [XX] [XXXX] [XXX] and [XXXX] quite through and all her Masts
sailes and yards shott and spoile, and was and [?foote] water in hould and ready to
sinke be fore such time as shee yeilded or was taken, And this hee knoweth
being att the time of the said fight aboard the said shipp and otherwise hee
saith he cannot depose.
To the 6th hee saith that the said shipp was in the service and imployment of the
said Bewley from the 20th of Aprill 1650 untill shee was seised and taken
as afore said, havein not delivered all her goods att Saint Lucar as hee hath deposed
untill the said 18th of November, from [which] 20th of Aprill to the 18th of
november is six Monthes and three quarters of a Month, for which he saith
there is due (according to the Charter party and monthely pay) unto the said [?producent]
seaven hundred fortie pounds, and [?ten] shillings or thereabouts And otherwise
he referreth him selfe to the said Charter party, and saith he cannot further depose
To the last he saith that hee this deponent

To the first hee saith he cometh to depose in this cause att the request
of the producent, and was Purser in the shipp the Adventure dureing the said
voyage, And hath not received his wages or any part thereof, And further
he cannot answere./
To the 2d hee saith that he was on bord the said shipp when shee did
sett saile and depart from Gravesend, being the 3d day of May 1650,
And otherwise hee knoweth not saveing that he doth
remember, that after the said shipp came downe by Gravesend the producent came
ipp to London, and returned back, and sett foreward in the said shipp the said 3d
May

cannot depose./
