To the third hee saith, hee knoweth nothing of the goods wares and
Merchandizes laden aboard the said shipp the hare in the field at
havre de Grace aforesaaid, nor what the quantities or qualities thereof
were, otherwise then by him is predeposed And further cannot depose, saying hee knoweth not who were
the Laders of the said goods, nor whose Subjects they were or are:-/

To the fourth hee referreth himselfe to the Acts and proceedings of
this Court, And further otherwise then as aforesaid cannot depose

To the fifth hee saith hee cannot at all depose, nor knoweth hee any
thing of the contents of this article, for that hee this deponent was not
present at the said seizure, and there fore is ignorant of any discourse
that passed between the seizors and seized:-/

To the sixth hee saith hee knoweth nothing thereof by reason as aforesaid:-

To the 7th hee saieth, hee knoweth not the precise time of the said
seizure of the shipp the hare and her lading, but saith that not longe after
the said seizure, this deponent still being at havre de Grace aforesaid heard
amongst Merchants and Mariners there, that the said John kein had
sent a letter out of England (which letter this deponent saw but read not, nor heard
the same read) importing that his said shipp and ladeing were taken by the
English, And that thereupon this deponent understood that some Merchants
there, had said, That the said shipp was probably taken and seized by
deffault of the said John kein, but saith hee never heard any
Merchant or Merchants there say or declare, that they had suffered
any losse by the seizure of the said shipp or lading, nor that they or
any of them did much bemoane themselves concerning the said seizure
neither did hee ever heare any Merchant or Merchants there upon
the said seizure sayd or declare that the said master had written
purposely into England to betray the ffrench, nor that if they could
catch him, they would hang him or putt him in prison, nor any words or
expressions tending to that or the like efefct as in this article is expressed
further or otherwise, then is by him upon this his examination, declared
upon his Oath and salvation, And further cannot depose:-/


To the 8th hee saith, That after the seizure of the said shipp the hare
was reported at havre de Grace, there being another hollands shipp
takeing in a ladeing of goods shee was there of this deponents observation discharged, and the goods brought
back againe, but for what reason or upon what oocasion the same was
soe done, hee saith hee cannot depose, And as to the Report in the
article expressed of the dutch being false, and giveing notice to the English
what french goods they had laden aboard them, hee utterly denyeth
that ever hee heard any such report either at havre de Grace
or at Rouen. And further cannot depose:-/

To the 9th hee referreth himselfe to the lawe of Nations, and to the
Lawes of this Commonwealth, and proceedings of this Nation and
Court, And further cannot depose:-/

To the 10th hee saith his foregoeing deposition is true:-/
