Clock the next morning, the said place being a safe and convenient
place for the moorage of Lighters and where Lighters were and are
usually moored, Th epremisses hee knoweth for that hee this
deponent as being a Wine Cooper was imployed by the said Mr
Travers in and about the premisses, and saw the said wynes received
in the said Lighter and came up and continued in her for all the
time shee lay so moored as is predeposed. And further saving his
subsequent deposition hee cannot depose:-/
To the third hee saith, That after the said Lighter came and was moored
at Buttolphs wharfe aforesaid having the said wines aboard her
the arlate Pomroy had thereabouts a Lighter of about 80, or 100.

Spanish wynes aboard, and that if they veerd upon them they
would breake their hawser whereby the said Spanish wynes
would in all probability bee lost or very much damnified, The
premisses hee knoweth, for that hee this deponent was present
when the same were soe had and done as predeposed. And
further cannot depose.
To teh 4th hee saith, That notwithstanding the calling out as aforesaid
to the said Pomroy and Companie then aboard the said Lighter, and
that hee or some of his Companie heard and understood the
said calling out, yet the said Pomroy or some of his companie
answereing rudely and uncivilly (the particular words this deponent doeth
not now remember) they or some of them did carelessly and wilfully Veere the
said Lighter and in the said Veering first came fowle of and
splitt the shipps boat to which the said Tailors Lighter wherein the
said Spanish wynes were, and broke her hawser and [?XXX GUTTER]
her adrift, notwithstanding this deponent and all the said Lighters
companie then aboard her used their uttmost endeavour to stopp and
prevent the same. The premisses hee well knoweth as being one
of the said Coopers aboard the said Lighter wherein the said wynes
were, and thereby seeing and observing the premisses. And
further cannot depose:-/
To
