EEIC, 1655-1659

"Nathaniel Wyche puts the following proposition to the court : that the Company shall upon good security pay 6,000/. to the creditors of Sir Job Harby, and as much more as Mr. Hoskins and Mrs. Wiche shall recover less than their proportionable demands from Sir Job, and license him to bring in all his creditors two months hence, but if they do not come in, then the Company to proceed as they like. Mr. Wiche engages that before the expiration of the said two months Sir Job Harby, Mrs. Wiche, and Erasmus Harby shall answer the bills put in against them, so that the Company may proceed if things are not accommodated. This is agreed to, and order is given for John Stanyan to sign on behalf of the Company."^[1]
