Augustine Aldridge de Wappinge in Comitatu Middlesex naupegus
aetatis 49 annorum aut circiter testis in hac parte productus iuratus
et examinatus./
Ad 6um arlum allegacione ex parte dri Leddeze in hac parte dat et oblat
dicit et deponit That the arlate shipp the fflower de Luce of Weymouth
is of the burthen of two hundred and fourtye tonnes or therabouts and will carrye
soe much in merchants goods and in dead weighte three hundred
tonnes which he knoweth beinge a shipp wrighte who hath viewed
her both within bord and without, and can guesse withinlittle of the burthen of a ship when he
seeth her within and without bord, but did never measure the sayd shipp in question./
Et alr nescit deponere/
Ad 17 affirmat That the said shipp the fflower de Luce since her cominge
home from the voyage in question was viewed and inspected both within bord
and without by this deponent and his contest Robert Tranckmore nowe master of the
company of shippwrightes and Thomas Cobb an able and sufficient shippwrighte
and was found by them to be a stronge and sufficient shipp and well able
to performe the voyage in question, and that the first schedule hereunto
annexed was and is subscribed with the proper hand writinge of the sayd
Tranckmore Cobb and of this deponent, and all and singular the contentes therof
were and are true, and were soe had and donne as in the same is conteyned
And this he affirmeth uppon his oath to be true./
